Brill branch line, Buckinghamshire
Brill branch line running through the woods near Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire. The Brill branch formed part of the Metropolitan & Great Central Joint Railway, having previously been the Oxford & Aylesbury Tramway. Evidence of this former use is present in the photograph: the tracks are of an earlier date and the absence of rail chairs on the sleepers indicates that these rails were not originally intended for main line traffic.
