Occupation crossing, Buckinghamshire
Occupation crossing on a shallow cutting on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, Buckinghamshire, circa 1904. Beyond are two girder overbridges. The permanent way has been laid and the ballast is packed, suggesting this section of the Line is ready for traffic. Pauling & Co. of Westminster built this later part of the London Extension (Northolt Junction to High Wycombe) between 1901-1905.
