Girder overbridge construction
Girder overbridge being constructed at 'Hilgrove Road', London (S. W. A. Newton's notes). The photograph was taken around 1897. Note the four sets of contractor's rails, including those on each side of the bridge that run right up to its abutments. This section of the Railway (Contract No. 7) was built by J. T. Firbank of London Bridge.
