Tunnel heading with wooden props on the Great Western and Great Central Joint Line at Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, circa 1903. Construction of this section of the Railway (High Wycombe to Princes Risborough built by Mackay & Davies of Cardiff) was begun in 1902, three years after the London Extension was completed.
