Metropolitan Railway signal box and railway yard, West Hampstead, London, circa 1897. According to notes provided by S. W. A. Newton, the photograph was taken at the 'end of Firbank contract'. J. T. Firbank of London Bridge was the contractor responsible for building this section of the London Extension (Contract No. 7).
