Loudwater Viaduct

Loudwater Viaduct in Buckinghamshire on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway - circa 1910. The stone edging around the arches is a departure from usual Great Central practice, adding a more decorative appearance to the structure. It was built as part of the Northolt Junction to High Wycombe contract, constructed by Pauling & Co. of Westminster between 1901 and 1905. Judging by the nicely grassed embankments, the railway has been open for some time.
