Contractors Depot and Materials
View of a contractors depot, showing a single line of constructors track and a large store of bricks. The yard was probably part of Contract No. 5 (Woodford to Brackley) awarded to Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne. Taken c1897, the photograph shows various houses in the distance and the depot has a substantial wooden building. Seen on the edge of scene, and well away from the main site, can be seen what is probably the site 'privy'.
