Brick Arch Bridge
A brick arch overbridge located near Culworth, Northamptonshire. The bridge was built as part of Contract No 5 (Woodford - Brackley) awarded to Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle upon Tyne. The photograph, described by S W A Newton as 'Farms Road bridge near Culworth, 69M 50C', was taken c1897. The bridge is shown as complete but the trackbed and tracks are not yet finished. Various items of construction material are strewn around the trackbed. A temporary water tower is in the distance, beyond the bridge.
