Steep Steps at Sheffield Victoria Station

According to S. W. A. Newton, these were the 'steps from Victoria Station to the Wicker' in Sheffield, Yorkshire. The exit descended from viaduct level and arrived at street level immediately to the right of photo L1140. It had to cross the River Don before starting its descent, resulting in having to fit the steps into a short distance, within an arch. The main entrance was up a sloping road towards the other end of the station.
