Goods Dray and Horse

A four wheeled goods dray pulled by a large working horse seen on Main Street, Rotherham. The name of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway can be seen clearly on the side of the wagon, along with a contractors name of Thompson McKay Co. Partially hidden behind the horse is the driver, dressed in white apron, black jacket and a black and white hat. The Probably taken c1894, the photograph also depicts clearly the architecture and cobbled streets of that time.
