Newly created trackbed near Quainton Road Station in Buckinghamshire.
The photograph shows a new section of trackbed ready for the lines to be laid. This new track will replace the old Metropolitan line lying alongside. The work was carried out as part of Contract No 6 (Brackley to Quainton Road) awarded to Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The exact location of the scene is unknown but is thought to be between Edgcott and Quainton Road, Buckinghamshire. See on Route Map
