Pedestrian level crossing near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

An level crossing for pedestrians, traversing the Great Western and Great Central Railways' double track line in a shallow cutting located near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This section of line was built as part of the Northolt Junction to High Wycombe Contract awarded to Pauling & Co. of Westminster. Presumably, the crossing was constructed for the benefit of the houses seen in the photograph. A wooden staircase and handrail is shown on each cutting wall providing access for a footpath to the crossing. See on Route Map
