Banbury Junction Signal Box

A brick built signal box located at Banbury Junction, Oxfordshire. This building was constructed as part of the Great Central's Banbury branch line contract between 1897 and 1900. The photograph shows the building as complete but the junction with the Great Western Railway has still to be completed. The tracks are laid but there is ample evidence of work outstanding. Pictured in the background are the signal gantries controlling the junction. See on Route Map
