Manning Wardle & Co. 'K' class 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, WALTER SCOTT, No. 1237 of 1892. The locomotive and her two crew were pictured at Godington in Oxfordshire on 5th June 1897, whilst working on Contract No. 6 (Brackley to Quainton Road) being built by Walter Scott & Co. of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Note the large dumb buffers and the lifting jack on the locomotive's running plate. See on Route Map
