Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, ELY.

0-6-0 contractor's saddletank locomotive, ELY, with her crew at Alpha Road near Marylebone, London on 10th March 1897. J. T. Firbank of London Bridge was the contractor responsible for building this section of the London Extension (Contract No. 7 - Canfield Gardens to Marylebone). The locomotive was built by Manning Wardle & Co. of Leeds in 1885 and carried their works number 927. It was originally owned by Kirk & Parry of Barking, Essex, and was originally named 'K & P No. 9'. See on Route Map
