Manning Wardle & Co. 'K' class 0-6-0 saddletank, GOWY, No. 1119 of 1889. The locomotive is pictured with her two crew at Ashby Magna, Leicestershire, when at work on Contract No. 3 (Aylestone to Rugby), circa 1897. Note the contractor's nameplate on the side of the cab dated 1894, the year that work began on the London Extension. Before this, GOWY had been the property of T. A. Walker of Cornbrook Sidings in Lancashire. See on Route Map
