Manning Wardle & Co. 'M' class 0-6-0 saddletank, PETERHEAD, No. 1378 of 1898, seen running bunker first near Haddenham in Buckinghamshire. The locomotive was working on the line from Princes Risborough to Grendon Underwood, linking the Great Central with the Great Western Railway. This section of line was built between 1901 and 1905 under the contractor, Louis P. Nott. Two of the crew stand in the wrap over cab, while the third stands by the smokebox. The loco appears to be standing in a deep cutting. See on Route Map
