Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, HENRY APPLEBY.

Hunslet Engine Co. 0-6-0 saddletank, HENRY APPLEBY, No. 45 built in 1870 with two crew. According to S. W. A. Newton's photographic log, this image was taken near Regents Canal at Marylebone in London. The cut down locomotive was at that time working on Contract No. 7 (Canfield Place - Marylebone), built by J. T. Firbank of London Bridge. Note the lightly laid contractors railway. The date is the 10th March 1897. See on Route Map
