Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, '15'.

0-6-0 saddletank, '15', of Manning Wardle & Co. origin. The locomotive (No. 1145 of 1890) is seen with its crew when working on the section from Northolt to Neasden on the Great Western & Great Central Joint line. It is seen running bunker first in a cutting near Wembley, with Oakington Farm in the background. The locomotive was working for T. Oliver & Son who built this section of line between 1901 and 1905, and has the characteristic dumb buffers and open footplate. The photograph was taken on 21st May 1902. See on Route Map
