Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, SUDBROOK.
Manning Wardle & Co. 'K' class 0-6-0 saddletank, SUDBROOK, (no. 891) of 1883. The locomotive is pictured with its two crew members when working on Contract No. 3 from Aylestone to Rugby. The locomotive was owned by Topham, Jones & Railton who built this section of line between 1894 and 1899. Judging by the corrugated roofed structure to the right of the locomotive, the photograph was probably taken in the contractor's yard. See on Route Map
