Contractors' 0-6-0 saddletank locomotive, AMERSHAM.

Manning Wardle & Co. 'I' class 0-6-0 saddletank, AMERSHAM, (No. 129) of 1864. The locomotive is pictured with its three crew members when working on Contract No. 7 from Canfield Place to Marylebone. The locomotive was probably owned by J. T. Firbank who built this section of short section of line between 1894 and 1898. The locomotive has been fitted at some time with a semi-enclosed cab, as its doubtful it had this when new. Note the grease gun in the hand of one of the crew. See on Route Map
