L2933. A navvy poses for the camera beside a vertical boiler pumping engine at the foot of an embankment near Caves Inn, north of Newton, Warwickshire. This man would most likely have worked for Topham, Jones & Railton, the firm responsible for building Contract No.3 of the Last Main Line (Aylestone to Rugby).
