Bridge 359 - Thurcaston, Leicester

Bridge 359 - Thurcaston, Leicester

Go back to the records from the Thurcaston map.
L2099. A hot air balloon rises high over the Leicestershire landscape, and is caught in the frame as the photographer captures this girder occupation bridge south of Thurcaston. Believe it or not, there is a brick wing wall somewhere beneath this screen of overgrown vegetation. The bridge's lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the Last Main Line.
