Bridge 403 near Cosby in Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Cosby map.
L1990. Bridge 403 was built to carry the Great Central over the Countesthorpe Road near Cosby. It was one of the many steel girder structures with a criss-crossed lattice parapet built on the London Extension, and survived in its original condition until early 2003 when its lattice parapet was replaced by a tubular handrail. This photograph shows the bridge's west side in May 1977.
