L1728. Girder overbridge carrying the Great Northern Railway over a line of contractor's temporary rails near Bulwell, Nottinghamshire. Visible beyond is the construction of another overbridge. Newton is thought to have taken the photograph on 26.2.1898. Logan & Hemingway was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Last Main Line (Contract No.1, Annesley to Leake).
