Water Tower at Loughborough Central Station
This photograph, taken by Mike Jones (Leics County Councillor), was taken on the day that the last Diesel Multiple Unit passed through Loughborough Central Station in March 1969, prior to the final closure of the line. The picture shows the large water tower situated at the end of the down platform.
Also in the picture is Mike and his family with the camera facing north towards the Empress Road bridge.
