Ex-LNER A4 class 4-6-2, 60014 - SILVER LINK at Marylebone.
On 12th May 1956, Ian Allen Publishing ran a special train over the London Extension to Doncaster. The locomotive used was A4 class 4-6-2, No. 60014 - SILVER LINK which had been brought in for the occasion from its usual base at Kings Cross. The immaculate locomotive, sister to the record-breaking MALLARD, stands at Marylebone awaiting departure with a rake of Pullman stock. See on Route Map
