War Railway Services poster

Issued on 11th September 1939 just days after the start of the Second World War, this poster details the considerable changes that were to be made right across Britain's railway network. Amongst other amendments to existing services, from this point passengers were unable to reserve seats and enjoy reduced fares and organised excursions. All restaurant cars were also withdrawn.
