0-6-0 No. 496, a main line engine of the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway (later Great Central Railway) at rest with her crew at Wakefield, Yorkshire, circa 1896. Affectionately nicknamed 'Bulldogs', these 6C heavy goods locomotives were designed by Charles Sacre, this one being built around 1880. See on Route Map
