On the preserved Great Centralk at Quorn Station

This atmospheric shot was taken at Quorn & Woodhouse Station on the preserved Great Central Railway. A railwayman, doubtless one the Great Central's dedicated army of volunteers, wanders back down the permanent way whilst a train heads north towards Rothley. Note the telegraph poles: a genuine relic of the London Extension retained by the preserved line to help recapture the age of steam. See on Route Map
