L3175. On 24th April 1957, Ian Allen Publishing ran a 'Trains Illustrated' special from Paddington to Doncaster, returning over the London Extension to Marylebone. On the return run, A4 4-6-2, No. 60029, WOODCOCK, failed and had to be taken off the train at Nottingham Victoria. Here we see WOODCOCK at the south end of 'The Vic', being removed by the station pilot - Gresley designed J39 0-6-0, No. 64715. | |
