Bridge 332 - Loughborough Central Station

Bridge 332 - Loughborough Central Station

Back to the story
L2174. Bridge 332, the girder structure built to carry Empress Road across the London Extension north of Loughborough Central. The engine at the centre of the picture is the 0-6-0 industrial saddletank locomotive ROBERT NELSON No.4. Loughborough North signal box can be seen beyond the right abutment, and just visible on the right of the bridge's brick pier is the spacious warehouse that formed part of the station's goods yard.
