L3434. This brick arch overbridge carries the Twyford to Steeple Claydon road over a single track contractor's railway. Construction of the cutting, and the laying of a permanent way was contracted out to Walter Scott of Newcastle - upon - Tyne, who worked on the Great Central's route between Brackley and Quainton Road. A group of navvies can be just about made out some way further down the line, whilst nearer the foreground Newton has included two smartly dressed young onlookers.
