L3306. When the Manchester, Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway obtained permission to build their new station in Leicester, many of the houses that stood on the site were purchased for demolition. The rehouse the residents of these properties, the MSLR was compelled to build a series of new houses in the Newfoundpool area of Leicester. This view shows Vaughan Street, one of a series of roads built by the railway company.
