Rothley Station, Leicestershire

Rothley Station, Leicestershire

Go back to the records from the Rothley map.
L3241. All of the original intermediate stations on the London Extension were built on the 'Island Platform' principal, and all to a very similar, but not identical, design. All of them had separate booking offices, waiting rooms and gentlemen's toilet blocks - this example being Rothley Station. The photograph, taken from the east side of the station, shows the toilet block to the left, with the waiting room in the centre and the booking office to the right by the stair case. The date is 19th July 2002.
