Remains of the old Leicester Viaduct at Slater Street in the city.

Remains of the old Leicester Viaduct at Slater Street in the city.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3224. This sad remnant of the viaduct that once spanned Leicester was photographed at Slater Street in the city on 19th July 2002. Behind the camera, the viaduct would have continued south to the old Leicester Central Station, but this section has now been demolished leaving the station isolated. Crossing the city at such a high level must have been spectacular.
