Jarvis Street, Leicester, in July 2002

Jarvis Street, Leicester, in July 2002

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3217. The fact that the old Leicester Central station site is now an industrial park has ensured the site's survival. This has also meant that the viaduct on which the station stood has also survived, as can be seen in this July 2002 view of Jarvis Street. All of the viaduct arches are now occupied by auto repair centres of one sort or another, as is the Blackfriars Mosaic chamber that is behind the photographer to the right.
