West side of Braunstone Gate Bridge (Bridge 374) in Leicester.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3212. This large lattice girder, or 'Bowstring', bridge is located on the junction between Braunstone Gate, Duns Lane and Western Boulevard in Leicester, and carried the GCR over the latter and the old River Soar. The photograph was taken in July 2002 from Duns Lane, but the bridge is scheduled for demolition and may not be around much longer. The building visible beneath the bridge is built on the site of the old Great Central Goods Offices.
