Street Art on Bridge 374 at Braunstone Gate, Leicester.

Street Art on Bridge 374 at Braunstone Gate, Leicester.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3205. Much of the old Great Central formation in the Braunstone Gate and Western Boulevard area of Leicester has seen the attention of vandals or street artists. Much of this is in the form of illegible 'tags', but there are sections where talented street artists have left their marks, as can be seen in this July 2002 photograph. The location is the east parapet of the viaduct, immediately south of Braunstone Gate Bridge. This section of the line is part of the Great Central Way cycle and foot path that links Leicester and Aylestone via the old GCR trackbed.
