Bridges 375, 376 and 377 at Bede Island in Leicester.

Bridges 375, 376 and 377 at Bede Island in Leicester.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3196. This photograph was taken looking east from Bridge 375 at Bede Island in Leicester. The bridge was one of three that spanned the River Soar at this point - the other two bridges can also be seen here, with Bridge 376 in the centre and Bridge 377 in the distance. Bridge 375 carried the main line while 376 and 377 gave access to the good yard which was on the left of this July 2002 photograph. The blue brick bridge in the rear of the picture is Bridge 378 that carried Upperton Road over the London Extension. Note the vegetation that hangs from Bridge 376.
