Bridge 378 at Bede Island in Leicester.

Bridge 378 at Bede Island in Leicester.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3193. This is Bridge 378 (Upperton Road) in Leicester, looking from the north side in July 2002. Unlike the rest of the bridge which utilises girder spans, this eastern end is built as two brick arches. The river running beneath the bridge is the old River Soar, and the bridge in the foreground is Bridge 377. The former main line was behind the photographer.
