Bridge 378 - Upperton Road in Leicester.

Bridge 378 - Upperton Road in Leicester.

Go back to the records from the Leicester North map.
L3187. This is Bridge 378, a large brick and iron structure that carried Leicester's Upperton Road over the Great Central Railway's extensive goods yards. The north facing photograph was taken from the Great Central Way - a public footpath and cycleway that links Leicester and Aylestone via the old GCR trackbed. This bridge may be demolished in the next few years as its strength is now in question. Photograph taken in July 2002.
