L2963. An interesting snapshot of the double span brick and girder overbridge (bridge no. 490) at the site of Charwelton Station, Northamptonshire. As construction of the station proper has not yet begun, a gap has been left at the centre of the parapet for the staircase that would eventually bring passengers down onto the single island platform. A small room was contained below the stairs within the brick pier, the rear window of which can be seen here.
