L2877. This small brick outbuilding was used as a contractor's office during the construction of Catesby tunnel. T. Oliver & Son was the firm responsible for building this section of the line (Contract No.4, Rugby to Woodford). Note the small section of headgear that is visible beyond the tree on the right of the photograph. Beneath this timber frame would be the entrance to one of the shafts that led down to the tunnel. | |
