L2867. Built by Walter Scott & Co. as part of Contract No.6 (Brackley to Quainton Road), this is the handsome brick arch occupation underbridge that carried the London Extension across a farm track near Newton Purcell, Oxfordshire. The bridge may be completed, but the bare uneven slopes of the embankment indicate that the line is far from finished.
