L2660. An interesting snapshot taken in 1933 at the Belsize Road entrance to the Metropolitan Railway's Swiss Cottage Underground station. Four years before this picture was taken, the station had been rebuilt to a design by Metropolitan architect Charles W. Clark. A flower vendor sits on wooden crates in front of the Buffet Room window. The premises on the right are being let by Ellis & Co., House Agents Surveyors and Valuers.
