L2489. A Great Central porter halts with his sack barrow and poses for Newton's camera on the platform of Charwelton Station, Northamptonshire. Behind him is the decorative hatchway from which passengers would buy their tickets, a handsome feature that could be found replicated at most Last Main Line stations.
