L2372. Spanning a cutting strewn with debris and materials, this is bridge no. 357 on the route of the Last Main Line. Built by Henry Lovatt & Co. as part of Contract No. 2 (Leake to Aylestone), the bridge was constructed to carry the bridle road between Rothley and Thurcaston. Note that the right side of the cutting has not yet been fully excavated.
