L2367. Thought to have been photographed at Newton, Warwickshire, this is the interior of a navvy's temporary wooden cabin. Although simple by modern standards, these relatively comfortable surroundings would be home to a Foreman or Supervisor and his family. With pictures on the wall and a plant in the window, the inhabitants of this dwelling have clearly made themselves at home.
