L2287. Taken around 1905, this photograph looks south towards the completed station buildings and platforms of the Great Central station at Akeman Street, near Woodham, Buckinghamshire. Owned and operated by the Great Central, this section of the railway (Grendon Underwood to Princes Risborough) was built by Louis P. Nott as part of the Great Western & Great Central Joint Line, a scheme which provided the company with an alternative route into London.
